Introduction
Charitable Pooling Program
Please note that for groups applying on behalf of a charitable organization, there must be a registered charitable number issued by Canadian Customs and Revenue Agency (CCRA). However for individuals acting on behalf of a local grassroots community initiative, no charitable number is required. Whether the application is submitted by a charity or local community group of individuals on behalf of a person in need, the application must contain an e-mail address, as well as the contact person’s name and telephone number.
Please note: you only have to apply to this program once. After you receive your Aeroplan Number and campaign materials you simply have to inform us of your annual campaign dates (as opposed to going through the formal application process each year).
It is important to state the nature of the charity’s work and how Aeroplan Miles would be used. If the application is accepted, an Aeroplan account would be set up in the name of the charity. A subsequent Aeroplan Mile donation campaign aimed at supporters would be carried out locally by the charitable group for one month. When the donation period is over, the charity would have access to the total number of donated Aeroplan Miles.
We do not align ourselves with any political or religious point of view. Our interest is to support local grassroots community initiatives of interest to Aeroplan members.
Please note that there are no tax receipts issued for donated Aeroplan Miles. Aeroplan has the right to revoke or close any Charitable Pooling Account which it deems fraudulent or misrepresented.
All questions must be answered. All information will be treated confidentially. Before submitting online, you may print a blank version of this Charitable Pooling Application by clicking on Printable Form at top right. We will not accept applications by mail or fax. Thank you for considering our program.
